The Jaggi Monthly - July Edition

July has been momentous, to say the least! We have been asked to take a couple steps into the dark, following the voice of the Lord, and have been immediately blessed.

I was told by my manager that I needed to return to work part time. I have been working 24 hours a week since I came back to work when Brooke was almost 5 months old, and I have really appreciated the flexibility of the people I work with. I was in a group managing large capital construction projects, and that kind of work just doesn't lend itself to being part-time. So I understand where my manager was coming from, but I really didn't want to return to full-time right now. I had even been having conversation with other engineering managers around the company, but nothing seemed to be a good fit right now.

So I was faced with the decision to return full-time or to quit! With Darren still out of work, although pursuing two good leads, it seemed crazy to quit. But we talked about it, and prayed about it, and thought about it, and made the decision for me to leave PSE. It was very uncomfortable! But at the same time I felt a strong witness from the Spirit that it was the right decision, and even the right time. Two days later Darren got a job offer! One week later we found out that I am pregnant! How grateful I am that the Lord insisted on His timing!

So Darren accepted the offer from CWR Mobility in Redmond! They provide a mobile version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Customer Relationship Management). The company is actually based in the Netherlands, but they have a small office in Redmond that will be growing quickly because they now have a direct partnership with Microsoft. We're so excited about this opportunity! There is even a possibility that Darren will be spending a month in the Netherlands, and Brooke and I would have to tag along. :)

Currently, we're celebrating at the beach. We had a weekend trip planned to Long Beach, and with both of us currently unemployed, we decided to extend it to a full week. It is the most relaxing and delightful vacation since our honeymoon! And it deserves a blog post all on its own!

And Junior Jaggi is expected to make his appearance in late March. It may be presumptive to call him a boy so early, but we're pretty sure it's going to be a boy, so we're going with it!
